Madame Ballet

I wanted to share with you all some of my favorite quotes from Sister Dienhart, the Ballet instructor at BYU-Idaho, just about the funniest little old lady I've ever met. She's 77 and still leaps and twirls better than I can. She began her career as a professional ballerina in her 30's after she had her son. She has trained dancers that have danced with Joffery, NYC Ballet, ABT, San Fransisco, Bermingham, etc.

Absolutely amazing. So here it is... the wisdom of Sister Dienhart:

• Goodbye! Goodbye! Have a good weekend! Don't eat anything! No Pizza! Only Crackers!

• When you can't get anything out of your bank account try to get something out of your feet. And if your lucky your feet will turn into money!

 

• (While stretching in splits) Someday that leg will just slip down into a perfect split!......... and by then I'll be dead.

• (to one dancer) your feet look like Baloney! (to the next) your feet look like sausage! (to the next) your feet look like little smokies!
